   To work as a physiotherapist, you must complete a university degree, pass a national exam and be registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. Programs in Ontario include: McMaster University; Queen’s University; The University of Ottawa; The University of Toronto and The University of Western Ontario.    You do not have to graduate from a Canadian school (if you have a foreign degree), but you have to have your credentials recognized by the government because different countries have different standards. You should check out this website:

   Also, to practice in Canada you must also belong to the regulating association (this involves recognizing your degree and paying annual fees, etc…).

   It’s a lot of paperwork, and it takes some time… but that website should point you in the right direction.

   You can not get a job in Canada until you are legally permitted to work. You have to clear up all the paperwork first.
