It would probably help if I knew what kind of job it is, but..

Don’t use questions that are personal. No potential employer really needs to know your past times or what your favorite anything is. Good questions would be:

“Tell me about your work ethic”
“Tell me about a time in which you had a difficult problem and how you solved it. How did it work out? How did you feel about it?”
“What are your weaknesses?”- No not answer that you work too hard, intimadate people, ect.

Tough to say without knowing the type of job and your experience and history. I’d recommend browsing the web pages linked below and finding some that fit you and the job.

Make sure you can answer the questions honestly and sincerely.

    1. If you can check out the company on the net and research major points of the company. Find out about recent news releases, major news concerning the company. Know about what you are talking about.
    2. Be on time, not overly early, and for sure not late. If you have to fill out any forms prior to the interview time, make sure you plan enough time, 15 minutes early only, any more you appear desperate.
    3. Dress in business conservative if you need to error on dress, wear a tie if male, business dress for women.
    4. Know the names and titles of the top three people at the firm.
    5. Wear little or no jewelry or showy clothes. Shine your shoes.
    6. If female, as little make up as you can, for both, limit the amount of perfume or after shave.
    7. Smile and when you enter, take the lead, extend your hand, shake his/her hand firmly but not too much.
    8. Look into their eyes when you speak.
    9. Take the time to have key answers ready, answer quickly and with confidence.
    10. Limit jokes, but be upbeat about yourself.

    Good Luck.

As a way to break the ice, you might ask the interviewer what question they hate being asked the most.

Question One: You want them to ask you a two-fold question first. part A) What makes you tick? What is special about you? (then have an answer!) You want them to ask you what in your mind is work ethic? (have a powerful answer here) — make sure your answer will separate you from all the others looking for work.

Question Two: You would want them to ask you about your goals for further education. Make sure your goals include some classes at college, either to get your degree, or post grad work.

Question Three: You want them to ask you that in these uncertain financial times, how will your employment help the company over other people.

Question Four: Will you take the lead and be a leader and just not an order taker? Your answer is of course yes, stress team playing, but leadership.

Question Five: You want them to ask you if your a forward thinking human in your approach to the changing world, technology, promotion, self motivation, openness to employee input.

    Good luck
