What are employers looking at when I apply for a job that makes them not call me?
I have applied for every job I would be qualified for almost a year now. I even applied to jobs that I know would hire me on the spot but no calls. Most jobs want you to apply online and not in person, and that is what I’ve been doing. Is there an “Employer Black List” I’m on?

Our jobs are gone and so, soon, will be our futures.
Also, if you are not even making the cut to the next step (phone screen/interview) then there is something seriously wrong with your resume.
And, no, there is not an “employers black list”, but, have you called your previous bosses to make sure that someone isn’t speaking ill of you?
If you would like to shoot your resume to me and I can give you some quick recommendations. Do you think you are overqualified for the jobs you are applying for? If you are qualified for the jobs you are applying for and are still not even getting calls for an interview something else must be wrong. Your resume may need to be revised a bit. I could imagine how disheartened you might be but it’s worth a try. I’ll review it for free.
