Currently I am using Career Builder, Indeed, Monster. What are some of the other job sites and search engines to use. Keep in mind that I am asking about free sites.

Both of those answers before read like complete & total bullsh*t, but that could just be me. “NewMaverickMoneyMakers?” That sounds about as credible as “Dr.Zhiago’sNewMiracleElixer.” Stick with online classifieds and avoid the snake oil salespeople. One thing I have *definitely* noticed is that not all companies who are currently hiring are posting their full list of available positions in the search engines you’ve mentioned. Some aren’t posting any available positions in job search engines. If you have a specific line of work you’re considering, make sure you actually run a Google/Yahoo!/Bing/whatever search for companies in your area that operate in that line of work, then directly visit their websites and check out their employment opportunities. Also, if you don’t mind working for the government, go to your state’s .gov website and search its list of available jobs. Good luck, and if anybody tells you that you can make “lots of $$$$$” by sitting on your a$$ at home, in your pajamas, tell them to f*ck off; the only money they’re making is the money that some other huckster pays them to tell you that.

I have also used Craig’s List, juju, Idealist, simplyhired, and justmeans. It depends on what kind of job you’re looking for. I have never used career builder and monster; they have never been helpful for me. Searching for jobs on Craig’s List is more time consuming but I highly recommend it. Hope that helps! Also, feel free to check out my new blog with job searching and job application tips. Good luck!

Try your State and local city websites. Also the local Chamber of Commerce has been very helpful.
