When applying for a job, where do you put your minimum salary requirements?

I’m looking to apply for an entry-level job in Hollywood, and this just keeps popping up. I’ve never had to do such a thing before when applying for a job in other industries. Is it appropriate to include this in the cover letter, and how exactly do I state such a thing?

Simply state that you have a minimum salary requirement of $X.

You are doing yourself and your new boss a favor. If they can’t pay this, you would probably quit after a short time anyway.

Say something like this at the end of your cover letter:

“Salary is negotiable, dependent upon the responsibilities of the position.”

You want to acknowledge the question, without answering it directly.
