Will unemployment agency help you find a job once you get a Pharmacy Tech degree?
I’m planning to go to Pharmacy School in Micigan in couple years but inorder to get into the Pharmacy School they’d like you to have some experience. So I’m thinking of getting the Pharm Tech certificate and find a job in a pharmacy. I heard that its really hard to get into pharmacies w/o any experience. Could anyone please tell me or help me with this matter. I’d greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Just don’t go to one of those ridiculous colleges like Kaplan, etc, where a Pharm Tech cert. will run you $20,000 for a job that pays $12-16/hr. Go to a community college and if you have no previous college you can complete an associates for less than $6,000. The c/c by me has a pharm tech program.
You should take the preparation courses for the pharmacy school now, like chemistry and anything else in medicine. Then you should have a record of being a volunteer in a hospital or clinic with some pharmacy exposure.
You should really call or go into Pharmacies in your town and ask the Phamacist these same questions and get the best information. There are some employment agencies which specialize in careers in medical jobs, so call and ask them how you should pursue employment. Good luck.
